Well, good news for you, we’re on the hunt for a Senior Designer in our Sydney office. We’re after someone who wants to push boundaries rather than just push pixels and call it a day.
Here’s a bunch of ‘essential skills’ that the HR lady made me put in:
- Bring a high level of skills in design, and excellent understanding of typography, logo design, colour, design and how they all fit together strategically.
- Strong conceptual ability and lateral thinking, with multi-channel experience.
- Have an excellent eye and attention to detail.
- Be able to interpret client briefs intelligently and strategically.
- Be self-driven & able to develop work independently when required.
- Write placeholder headlines when necessary.
- Be highly organised with excellent communication skills.
- Manage the quality of design throughout all phases of a project.
- Have the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
- Mentor and manage Designers and Junior Designers.
- Help build a network of creative partners of freelance designers, illustrators & photographers.
- Be capable of presenting artwork to prospective clients, at new business pitches and presenting existing clients with new concepts and ideas.
- Be capable of interacting with clients on various creative and graphic design projects in consultation with Account Services team.
- Be capable of taking design directives and briefs from the Design Director, Creative Director and Account Services team.
- Be up to date with the developments in the industry, in particular advertising, design, brand and digital technology.
- Be up to date with the developments in design tools.
